I compulsively click on "about me/us" links when available. I think it's to counteract the depersonalizing effect of being online all the time. In any case, "automatist.org" is just a single person, and my name is Michael Murtaugh.

Oh, and about me: I was born, grew up, and went to school in the U.S. (in Illinois, Connecticut, and Massachusetts) and have lived in Amsterdam since 1997. My CV has lots more detail.
